[KinoSearch] One question and one suggestion

I have kinosearch working well for a project I'm developing, but I've hit
one minor stumbling block that I can't find any obvious solution to in the
documentation.
I have a mysql table describing a library of images. Kinosearch is doing a
great job of finding the most relevant image via name/descrip/metadata, but
in some cases in the search results I would like image A to be higher than
image B--for example image A is a better quality photo that B. What
strategies would you suggest? I would rather not reinvent the wheel if
possible.
The suggestion: can the mailing lists be indexed and searchable? Pretty
please? :)
Thanks, and hopefully that wasn't too dumb of a question!
