Nope.  

I see this under "valgrind perl -Mblib t/core/051-fs_file_handle.t" on OS X,
but I don't know if it's related:

ok 31 - Writing to a read-only handle returns false
ok 32 - Writing to a read-only handle sets error
ok 33 - Close returns true for write-only
==85061== Warning: invalid file descriptor -1 in syscall close()
ok 34 - Failed Close() returns false
ok 35 - Failed Close() sets Err_error
==85061== Warning: invalid file descriptor -1 in syscall close()
ok 36 - Close returns true for read-only

What does Valgrind tell you on your system?
