Father Chrysostomos and I collaborated on the original HeatMap module.
Hopefully when it comes time to implement the Lucy Highlighter, we will be
able to draw on our collective experiences to build something extremely fast
and flexible.

There are also the UTF-8 debugging utilities.  (KS has similar facilities, but
they aren't public.)  In my experience, it's not practical to develop
Unicode-friendly apps in Perl without such tools.
