If you can report specific troubles with the KinoSearch distribution  
itself such as failed tests, then we can help here.  However, it  
sounds like you need general help installing CPAN modules.  I recommend:

   * "Learning Perl", published by O'Reilly.
   * Perl's own documentation (<http://perldoc.perl.org/>)
   * <http://www.perlmonks.org/>
