[KinoSearch] Automatic detection of index format

Hello Marvin,

as you know my ezmlm-www supports your excellent Search::KinoSearch
module. I now want to add support for KinoSearch but of course my aim is
not to broke compatibility for users who don't want to upgrade and
reindex everything.

Is there a way to automatically detect whether an index is in
Search::KinoSearch or KinoSearch format so that I can use the
appropriate module?
