Net::LuceneWS is an interface to the old Lucene Web Service (still available
at http://lucene-ws.sourceforge.net/) which was our jumping off point. We
had compiled a series of patches to fix some outstanding bugs and make
things more RESTful, though in the end we decided to re-start from scratch
(and IMHO, came up with a neat use of the Atom Publishing Protocol,
OpenSearch and a sprinkling of XOXO).
